PLATFORM's ongoing Museum of The Corporation (MoTC) presents archival documentation of the international coalition that has been campaigning against BP's new oil pipeline. The pipeline is set to run from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan on the Caspian Sea, through Georgia and eastern Turkey to the port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.The pipeline is highly controversial for environmental and social justice reasons, and the campaign has already succeeded in undermining its licence to operate.
The MoTC presents its archive at international exhibitions and conferences to make public and visible the work of activists and campaigners, whose work is rarely re-presented or analysed in art contexts or made the subject of a museum.
A major MoTC exhibition will take place in London and Georgia during 2006.
